An informal name applied to the four international powers—the United States, the European Union, Russia, and the United Nations—which came together beginning in 2002 to discuss and resolve the Israeli-Palestinian issue. In September 2002, a Roadmap for Peace first emerged, although it was not formally released until the following spring.
